These boys get cuter and cuter every year! Caleb and Carter were excited to finally have their turn at the Pumpkin Patch. Brenner wanted to do everything the big boys did- and he did a great job keeping up with them! The three helped pick out a great pumpkin for carving. What a wonderful day!

Pumpkin Preschool
The following day Brenner went with his preschool class to the Pumpkin Patch. I took Brenner and his buddy Dawson to meet up with his teacher and friends. They had a great time on the hayride and picking out their own pumpkin. Another fun day with a bunch of three year olds!

Pumpkin Playgroup
Brenner's playgroup took a trip to the pumpkin patch. A bunch of three year old makes for a fun morning. Brenner was so excited to run around all the pumpkins and play in the bounce houses. Brenner and Addison were super sweet together!

Baylor Gear in FloMo
Baylor Gear in Flower Mound! And lots of it!
Waco used to be the only place to buy Baylor things. Not sure if it's Baylor's popularity in the sporting world or if Baylor is loosening up on their licensing or merchandise. Doesn't matter to me- I'm loving it!

My Toe
The month of October was the month of my big toe. What I thought was just a bad nail trim and easily fixed by a podiatrist turned out to be a lot more. After my initial appointment I learned not only was it an ingrown toenail, but also infected and had developed an abscess. Now the area of infection/abscess was hard to reach. In fact, I had to get about 8 shots in my big toe just to numb the area. And let me tell you, that hurt like the dickens. Who knew there were so many nerves in the toe? I remember actually reverting to Lamaze breathing as if I were in the throws of transitional labor. Maybe it was because it was so unexpected or maybe it actually hurt that much, but either way I cried like a baby in that sterile room while the podiatrist literally cut both sides of my nail back to the root to allow for proper draining. Does that gross you out enough? I myself was so horrified at what he'd done, I had my dear nurse friend, Vicki, come do wound care the first night. Even the thought of looking at my toe had me nearly fainting. Two weeks of twice daily soaking, scrubbing, applying ointment, and redressing all while taking oral antibiotics. Um, it's just a toe. Then I went back for my actual ingrown toenail procedure. Good times. I got to do the whole thing over again. Yep. 8 more shots around the toe and the whole enchilada. This time I was in a surgery room laid back with a cloth hanging at my midsection so I couldn't see what was happening. They had me "grounded" so I wouldn't get electrocuted when they started to cauterize the nail roots on both sides. From my view it was as if I was having a c-section. Um, it's a toe. Anyway, this time around I was not in tears. Not sure if it was because I knew what to expect or there was no infection this time or maybe it was because I was caught up reading the story on my phone of Big Tex on fire while the doc was working. I left the office just thrilled to be done. Four days into my second round of recovery I made another appointment to see the podiatrist because I feared my toe was not draining. It was very red and puffy. I good scraping around the nail bed and I was oozing once again. Two more weeks of twice daily soaking, scrubbing, and then adding just a bandaid. $850 later, lots of tears, lots of epsom salt, and lot of bandaging has me with a new toe.

State Fair of Texas
State Fair of Texas!
We picked a cold Sunday morning to visit the State Fair. On the agenda: dog show, a few rides- including the Texas Star, the petting zoo, lots of walking, corndogs (2 rounds), fresh cotton candy, and various fried foods. It was everything I hoped for! Nanny and Papa joined us too. Not sure why I have no pics of them! Good thing I got a photo of the boys with Big Tex!

Sugar Crash on the way home! He was bothered by his sticky hands from eating cotton candy. Before I could reach back to clean his hands, he had conked out. Just priceless. I'm thinking Brenner enjoyed the fair!
RIP Big Tex
Just the next weekend, Big Tex burned to a crisp. My boys saw the video on the news the night it happened. Brenner got big eyes and said, "Mommy, Big Tex- Big Fire"

She Martini After Party
The day after the She Martini party, Brenner had his buddy Dawson over to play. When I came back from taking a shower I found these too dressed up in the pretty cowgirl hats yelling "YeeHaw" to each other. Just too cute.

She Martini
She Martini Boutique
One Friday in October we turned the downstairs of our home into She Martini Boutique. My friend, Jennifer Martini, runs a boutique with her husband in Canton and various other shows throughout the state and neighboring states. I've taught her boys for many years and wanted a chance to see all her stuff so I suggested a home show! It turned out to be a huge success. We had over 50 women shopping throughout the day with over $4,600 in sales! This photo only depicts one of four rooms filled with clothes, purses, and accessories.

Grammy and Grandpa Visit
Grammy and Grandpa came for a weekend visit and to see Carter's soccer and football games. Too bad it rained most of the weekend and the games were canceled.
Instead it left us plenty of time to play inside the house.
And go roller skating! Grammy was an expert skater! And Brenner loved trying roller skating for the first time! They all took lessons on Saturday morning. Caleb and Grammy got promoted to the next level after just one lesson!
I got an early birthday gift! A Redskins Flag to support RG3!

Brenner Oz- Captured in Phone Pics
I adore this child. He just loves life. I found a collection of photos on my phone from various times throughout this year. Brenner is a sweet boy who has a love for all thing Thomas. He keeps us laughing and is always ready to cuddle. Poor guy has fought an ear infection and a few viruses this year, but not much else has kept him down. He requires 3 kisses and 3 hugs from me each time we say goodbye. And needless to say, he loves being 3!
