Memorial Weekend

The pool is open and family are in town.  Mom and Dad bought us some new bright colored cushions and other outdoor accessories.
Time for a swim!

Go Rangers!

We took the big boys to see the Texas Rangers.  Steve got us some great seats and God orchestrated the perfect weather for a ballgame.  Carter's reaction upon walking into the stadium: "Wow, this is big!"  After playing at his little field that morning I'm sure he was in awe of the difference in size.
I would have been happy in the outfield (my request was shade), but Steve wanted the boys to be able to see the game.  Just below our section is the Ranger dugout.  Nolan Ryan sits in the front row next to the team dugout.
Ready to cheer on the Rangers!
Gotta love ballpark food!
Carter tried to get on the jumbo screen.  He hoped if he danced and cheered enough that the camera guys would put him on.
Around the 3rd inning the shade hit our backs.  It indeed turned into the perfect day (except the Ranger's lost).  We had a great time.  Can't wait to until Brenner is old enough to join us.  Although I think he had more fun staying back with Nanny and Papa at our house.

Nesting

We have a new friend at our house.  It's a momma bird who has built her nest in our spiral tree.  I tried to stop her attempts at building a few days ago when I noticed her bring various twigs over.  We were about to have everything trimmed and I didn't want all of her work destroyed by trimming shears.  Well, she built her nest anyway and then decided to lay some eggs!
You can see her just under the top of the spiral.  She (and her eggs) survived the trimming today.  I'm guessing Federico must have noticed the nest and tried to not disturb it too much.
She certainly picked a loud place to nest.  She's right at our front door and a few feet from our garage door.  I wonder how long until the baby birds hatch?  And, what kind of bird is this?

My Toddler

Brenner Oz
My sweet toddler has so much personality.  He talks so well for his age- much better than his brothers at this age.  He's counting to ten, singing his ABC's, and The Itsy Bitsy Spider.  He likes to talk about his loved ones.  Bubba, Tar Tar, and Helfy keep him fully entertained.  When he hears music he likes to get his groove on.  Brenner is learning to kiss with his mouth and snuggles with us all the time.  He always wants to wear his shoes and likes to wear a hat.  I love this sweet boy!
