I forget how much I love little glass bowls (hint: great idea for birthday and/or Christmas gift). I've collected several over the years that have a pretty cut on the glass or are various shapes. And I love to fill them with candy. I think it's all because we visit Aunt Ruth's candy store every Christmas and she has dozens of glass bowls filled with various treats. I'm so excited October is around the corner so I can start putting out my fall candy. Most of my friends are amazed I can have all this candy out with such easy access, but honestly it doesn't tempt me in the least. I walk by it 50 times a day and could care less. It's that yummy ice cream in the freezer that is much too hard for me to resist. So, come on over and enjoy the candy anytime!

Lesson on the IPad
While we were gone to the football game, Brenner was teaching Mamaw and Granny how to play on the IPad. This kid is being raised in a different generation.
Baylor Football
We went down to Waco for Labor Day weekend and to see Baylor in their home opener against TCU. My cousin, Mark, is a freshmen at Baylor this year. All freshmen are part of the Baylor Line- the group that runs on the field and has reserved seating at the game. We got to meet up with him ahead of time. Here he is with 4 lady friends. Seems he's enjoying college. :-)
In the huge sea of freshmen I was able to locate Mark! All of the Line have 15 on their backs for the year they are suppose to graduate.
Baylor President Ken Starr runs out on the field first before getting trampled by all the freshmen.
And here come the freshmen. My guess is there were 2000 students running out on the field. Look at them jammed in the tunnel like cattle.
The the Line gathers around for the team to run out. Steve was able to spot Mark out on the field with our zoom lens. It's kind of like playing Where's Waldo.
Baylor/TCU was an amazing game. The pastor that prayed before the game said, "Baylor and TCU have shared beliefs. We are brothers and sisters in Christ. And Lord, there's about to be a family feud." Baylor won 50-48 after barely escaping a comeback from TCU. Baylor Nation is so excited for our team this year! Sic'Em Bears!
