Big Boy Bed

Brenner has been happily sleeping in a crib, but he certainly is getting a bit to big for it.  We have been lucky to never have a boy climb out of the crib.  They've all enjoyed being in there with their various blankets, pillows, books, and toys.  The time has come since the baby crib was getting a bit crowded.
Right in front of the crib is Steve's childhood queen size bed waiting to be occupied.  Dad took down the crib during Memorial Day weekend and we officially made the move to the Big Boy Bed!
Brenner demonstrated how to sleep in his new bed.
He made the switch without a problem.  We put doggie stairs on the end to help him get up and down.  He stays in the bed every nap time and from the moment we put him down until we get him up in the morning.  I didn't shed a tear or feel sad in the least.  Ready to move on to the next stage of life!

Tour de Cure

Steve participated in the Tour de Cure for the American Diabetes Association in Boerne with Uncle Dan.
My parents, boys, aunt, cousins, and I all went to the starting line to cheer on the guys.

Brenner was excited to see Daddy before the race.
And off they go!  Can you spot Steve?
We drove to the Country Club to watch them race by.  We happened to get there within a couple of minutes of Steve flying down the road.
Whoosh.... and there he goes!
While we were at Boerne Champion High School we visited the tennis courts to see Mark's State Championship sign.  His name is forever left on the courts!

2012 Spring Recital

All 14 of my students played in the Spring Recital.  They did an excellent job!
Front Row: Luke Martini, Victoria Cook, me, Reese Porter, Kenny Jennings, Cody Marks
Back Row: Caroline Marshall, Ellisyn Davis, Devin Davis, Jackson Thompson, Michael Martini, Emily Engberson, Lilli Smith, Jeremy Thomas, and Colin Smith

We had a packed house!  Elizabeth had 2 students in the recital as well.  There were lots of cameras and lots of applause!
Elizabeth and I have had many successful piano recitals together!  I look forward to many many more!

1st Grade Performance- BUGZ!

The 1st graders at Heritage performed the musical "BUGZ".  Carter's class is on the far left.  All the kids dressed up like various bugs.
Carter dressed as a beetle- which basically meant I put him in black with a headband with antennae.
Payton, Ethan, Carter, and Adam
All 1st grade boys on our court.  They've been buddies since birth.
