Field Day and Jogathon 2011

We had Field Day and Jogathon at the boys' school.  Needless to say, this is a day that the boys L-O-V-E!   You can see Carter had his face painted and his hair sprayed red- who wouldn't love that?  Every grade level runs laps to raise money for the school and some designated charities.  They also participate in various field day activities like tug-o-war, hula hoops, turtles, and an obstacle course.  I'm so thankful to be a part of such a great school!

Fall Soccer 2011

Another season for the Lightning is done.  Many of these boys have been playing together for 3 years. This season we moved to 5 on 5 (with a goalie).  We have seen so much improvement in all of the boys.  Carter is very aggressive and is great in the sweeper role.  These boys are all good buddies as well (2 are also on his baseball team).  Go Lightning!

Fall Baseball 2011

We finished up another season of baseball with Carter.  His team name changed from the Yankees to the Phillies this season because there was already an 8U Yankees.  The boys got to pick their jersey number, so Carter chose 97.  He initially wanted 100, but we said it had to be 2 digits and usually baseball players have lower numbers.  But, he wanted 97 (9 for Caleb's age and 7 for his age).  And, he wanted to be sure he was the highest number out there.  He had another great season (despite an ER visit from a bat to the face and a black eye the following week due to a foul tip).  He loves being on a team and enjoys all of his baseball buddies.  Caleb and Brenner have been troopers.  They just go with the flow and enjoy the games as well.  Go Phillies!

Toddler Property Laws

Toddler Property Law

1. If I like it, it's mine.

2. If it's in my hand, it's mine.

3. If I can take it from you, it's mine.

4. If I had it a little while ago, it's mine.

5. If it's mine, it must never appear to be yours in any way.

6. If I'm doing or building something, all the pieces are mine.

7. If it looks just like mine, it is mine.

8. If I saw it first, it's mine.

9. If you are playing with something and you put it down, it automatically becomes mine.

10. If it's broken, it's yours!
