Thomas the Train

Thomas the Train came to Grapevine.  Brenner is obsessed with trains- like he carries them in his pockets, he pushes them around in his grocery cart, he sleeps with them in his bed.  He also only wants to watch Thomas movies at home and in the car and watch videos on the Thomas the Train website.  All my boys have loved trains, but Brenner has taken it to a whole new level.

 I adore these boys!
The Thomas ride was about 25 minutes.  We went one way and then reversed back to the station.  All along there was Thomas music playing and Thomas stories blasting over the speakers.  Brenner easily sang along with each tune.  He was in hog heaven.

There were other things going on down at the Grapevine Historic Railroad.  Brenner was entranced with the miniature train display.  The boys also enjoyed shaved ice and cotton candy.
Brenner was super excited to meet Sir Topham Hatt.  It's funny how Carter was still happy to get in the photos while Caleb opted to stay behind the camera.  I guess that's the difference in a 7 and 10 year old.
There were countless photo opps around the railroad station.
So long Thomas the Train!  I'm sure Brenner will be talking about this day for a long time!

Easter

Happy Easter!

We had a low key Easter at home.  The boys were thrilled with their baskets filled with candy, toys, and movies.  They had fun hunting eggs that afternoon.  Brenner got to keep all the eggs with jelly beans while the boys had dollar bills in their eggs.

Cowboy Brenner

It was Western Day at Brenner's preschool.  He's wearing a boots, overalls, and a hat from when Caleb was a 2 year old in preschool.  It's a trip down memory lane.  Below are photos of Caleb (several months younger than Brenner) in the same outfit.

Caleb's Birthday Weekend

Since Caleb's birthday always falls around Spring Break it makes it easy to get together with his Oklahoma cousins.  Nanny and Papa also came to town.  We enjoyed an evening at Medieval times, which was a lot of fun for all of us.  (We missed Andy, though)
The kids were excited to go into the castle.
We were in the Green Knight's section.
 Silly Cousins
Ready for the dinner and tournament!
Next up was Caleb's birthday party.  He requested laser tag and video games at Main Event.  His cookie cake turned out so fun!

Nanny, Papa, and the birthday boy

Can't believe my baby is 10 years old!
Enjoying the fun!  Brenner was running around Main Event and missed out on the photo opp.
